What you will do

• Set the technical direction and influence the engineering roadmap for the platform's streaming capabilities.
• Design and lead the implementation of complex, critical systems for data-intensive use cases.
• Research and champion new architectural patterns to solve strategic scaling challenges.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives, ensuring technical alignment across multiple teams.
• Improve system observability, reliability, and scalability while mentoring others in operational best practices.
• Coach and mentor senior engineers and act as a technical leader across the organization.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software development experience in a fast-paced, agile environment.
• Proficiency in Golang or Java.
• Hands-on experience designing and tuning highly-scalable, event-driven systems.
• Solid understanding of database fundamentals and experience with Kafka or similar event streaming technologies.
• Must be located in Canada.

Nice to have

• Experience with TypeScript and React.
• Familiarity with cloud providers (AWS, Azure) and container technologies (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Interest in the Identity and Access Management (IAM) business domain.
