What you will do

• Implement internal and edge networking infrastructure designed for global scale with multi-cloud and multi-region constraints.
• Lead cross-team initiatives from end to end, including design reviews, code reviews, and security hygiene.
• Design and develop new services, tools, and automation to expose network functionality to engineering and operations teams.
• Research and implement technical solutions for critical concerns like routing, failover, and scaling.
• Participate in the team's on-call rotation to ensure operational robustness.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software development experience in cloud-native services.
• Deep knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, and TLS.
• DevOps experience using cloud-native technologies and infrastructure management with Terraform.
• Proven experience contributing to Go-based services.
• Must be located in or able to work hybrid from Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS, Azure, and major content delivery networks (CDNs).
• Experience implementing and scaling Service Mesh architectures, specifically Istio and Envoy Proxy.
• Knowledge of the Kubernetes Gateway API for self-service ingress solutions.
• Experience designing multi-cloud networking topologies and hybrid connectivity (Direct Connect, Cloud Interconnect).
• A product-centric approach to building internal infrastructure tools.
