What you will do

• Manage and implement a wide variety of engineering design and consulting projects.
• Coordinate and conduct building and fire code reviews and analyses, including plan reviews and site visits.
• Develop fire protection strategies, performance-based design approaches, and alternative solutions for clients.
• Prepare and peer-review project-related technical reports.
• Communicate technical strategies effectively to project team members, clients, and jurisdictional authorities.
• Assist with business development activities.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in code consulting and design of fire suppression and alarm systems.
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Engineering (preferably Fire Protection), Architecture, or a related field.
• Must be located in or able to work from the Maryland or Virginia offices.
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE) or other professional designation preferred.
• Experience developing building code concepts, equivalencies, and conducting field inspections.
• Ability to work independently and interact with industry professionals and authorities.

• Knowledge and experience in fire alarm and fire sprinkler design.
