Consultant/Engineer - PRA and PSA (Nuclear Risk Assessment)

Location: Remote - United States. The PRA team is based in West Chester, Pennsylvania. Candidates must be United States citizens or lawful permanent residents.

Salary: $80,000–$160,000 USD annually.

What you will do

• Develop and enhance PRA models for internal events, fire, seismic, and other external hazards.
• Conduct PRA analyses, calculations, human reliability assessments, and severe accident evaluations.
• Support risk-informed licensing and regulatory applications, including RICT, 50.69, and ILRT extensions.
• Advise on advanced nuclear regulations, methods, siting, and risk initiatives such as NEI 18-04, LMP, and ESP.
• Prepare regulatory submittals and communicate technical findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Collaborate with clients, mentor early-career engineers, and contribute to business development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent PRA-related experience.
• Experience with nuclear plant or advanced nuclear PRA, operations, licensing, or engineering.
• Strong analytical skills and a commitment to nuclear safety.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• United States citizenship or lawful permanent residency is required.
• For senior-level consideration, 10+ years of experience is preferred; 5+ years is preferred for mid-level consideration.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with internal events, fire PRA, external hazards, or risk-informed applications.
• Familiarity with NRC risk-informed processes.
• Consulting, client-facing, project management, or technical leadership experience.
