What you will do

• Perform professional Code Consulting services, including life safety and performance-based fire engineering design.
• Prepare Building Code Compliance Reports, Fire Code Compliance Reports, and detailed drawing reviews.
• Conduct building code analyses, egress analyses, and review fire detection, alarm, and smoke control systems.
• Apply engineering calculations for means of egress, maximum allowable building area, and sprinkler water supplies.
• Coordinate fire protection strategies with design teams and authorities having jurisdiction.
• Conduct field investigations and inspections to resolve complex design problems.

Requirements

• At least two years of undergraduate schooling (e.g., Diploma in Architectural and Building Technology or Bachelors of Engineering).
• 1 to 3 years of experience in fire protection and code consulting.
• Strong analytical and creative thinking skills.
• Effective written and oral communication skills for technical reports and business correspondence.
