What you will do

• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and consistency
• Lead transition from outsourced accounting to in-house model including process redesign and system ownership
• Establish and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls per US GAAP
• Oversee general ledger, revenue recognition, accruals, reconciliations, and financial reporting
• Partner with FP&A on actuals, forecasts, and cross-functional workflows
• Manage external relationships with auditors, tax advisors, and providers while supporting technical accounting

Requirements

• 8+ years accounting experience in private venture-backed companies
• Strong US GAAP knowledge and hands-on financial statements preparation
• Experience scaling companies from early to later stages
• Proven ownership of close processes and transitioning from outsourced to in-house
• Experience with accounting systems like NetSuite, audits, and process improvements
• CPA or equivalent strongly preferred; hands-on, collaborative builder mindset
