What you will do
- Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and consistency
- Lead transition from outsourced accounting to in-house model including process redesign and system ownership
- Establish and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls per US GAAP
- Oversee general ledger, revenue recognition, accruals, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Partner with FP&A on actuals, forecasts, and cross-functional workflows
- Manage external relationships with auditors, tax advisors, and providers while supporting technical accounting
Requirements
- 8+ years accounting experience in private venture-backed companies
- Strong US GAAP knowledge and hands-on financial statements preparation
- Experience scaling companies from early to later stages
- Proven ownership of close processes and transitioning from outsourced to in-house
- Experience with accounting systems like NetSuite, audits, and process improvements
- CPA or equivalent strongly preferred; hands-on, collaborative builder mindset
