Senior Appian Developer (Appian)

Location: 100% remote within the United States; candidates must reside in the U.S. and perform the work in the U.S. Reston, Virginia is listed as the job location.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain large-scale Appian BPM applications for federal customers.
• Develop Appian plugins and configure application servers such as JBoss, WebLogic, and IIS.
• Configure, debug, and integrate forms, reports, business logic, and interface components.
• Work across all phases of software development for business-critical applications using Agile methodologies.
• Support RFIs, RFPs, prototypes, and oral presentations as needed.
• Maintain the certifications required for Appian practice expertise.

Requirements

• 6+ years of recent hands-on experience with Appian BPM and Appian plugin development.
• 6+ years of experience with application server installation, relational databases, SQL scripting, configuration, debugging, and systems integration.
• 6+ years of experience across the software development lifecycle for large-scale applications using Agile methodologies.
• Bachelor's degree.
• U.S. citizenship is required, and the ability to obtain Public Trust clearance is required.
• Must reside in and perform the work in the United States.

Nice to have

• Certified Level 2 or Level 3 Appian Developer credentials.
• Experience with Appian Tempo, Appian Sites, Java, and Maven builds.
• Federal government software development experience.
• Experience defining architecture, enterprise application integration, SOA, ESB, and n-tier client-server architectures.
• Strong analytical, technical, written, verbal, teamwork, facilitation, and negotiation skills.
