Demand Planning Analyst

TL;DR

Demand Planning Analyst: Accountable for hirify.global’s demand planning platform and lead execution of demand forecasting process with an accent on system integrity, forecast accuracy, and continuous improvement of workflows. Focus on developing SKU-level forecasts, integrating POS data and promotions, leading S&OP demand reviews, and providing channel insights.

Location: Remote from Chicago IL, Detroit MI, NYC Area, Philadelphia PA, Washington DC, Charlotte NC, Atlanta GA or within 2 hours drive of Oriskany NY / Onsite (Oriskany, NY) preferred

What you will do

• Serve as business owner of demand planning platform, maintaining data integrity, configuring models, and optimizing algorithms.
• Develop SKU-level forecasts by customer/channel, own overrides, integrate POS/shipments/promotions, and monitor accuracy.
• Lead monthly S&OP demand review, prepare scenarios, highlight risks, and ensure cross-functional alignment.
• Analyze channel trends, promotional impacts, and provide recommendations to improve service levels and inventory.
• Standardize planning processes, calendars, and workflows for scalability and adoption.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business, Finance, Analytics or related
• 3–7+ years in demand planning, forecasting, supply chain or commercial analytics
• Experience with demand planning system (ketteQ, SAP IBP, Anaplan, Blue Yonder or similar)
• Strong data analysis skills (advanced Excel; BI tools experience preferred)
• Experience with POS data and retail customers

• Consumer goods or seasonal category experience
• Mass retail and/or e-commerce planning
• S&OP/IBP demand side participation or leadership
• Statistical forecasting models and parameter tuning
