What you will do

• Maintain and run a modern, containerized service-oriented architecture using industry-leading software development practices.
• Develop and iterate on a native payment processing solution for US and EMEA client bases.
• Own large areas of the payments stack, from design through operation, focusing on reliability, cost, and performance.
• Collaborate with Finance, Risk, and Product teams to define and deliver strategic payment solutions.
• Build inclusive user interfaces and leverage cutting-edge AI tools to accelerate product development.
• Solve complex performance problems to support high-traffic events and scale the software for a booming business.

Requirements

• Experience building business-critical software in fast-paced environments.
• Proven expertise in owning end-to-end payment systems and integrations with processors like Stripe or Adyen.
• Ability to design resilient, idempotent workflows and handle real-world failure modes.
• Experience ensuring financial correctness through reconciliation, auditability, and robust data modeling.
• Track record of leading projects or mentoring engineers.
