What you will do

• Lead systems analysis, architectural design, and technology selection for core platform components and scalable data services.
• Develop and implement backend microservices and APIs using Python, Elixir, or Golang.
• Establish and guide the team in AI-native engineering practices to improve reliability and development efficiency.
• Design and maintain PostgreSQL database schemas, optimizing for query performance and scalability.
• Lead peer code reviews and mentor engineers to maintain high code quality and maintainability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in distributed event-driven systems using modern observability tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• Expertise in Python; experience with Elixir or Golang is a strong plus.
• Strong proficiency in relational databases, specifically PostgreSQL.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS) and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Proven ability to architect scalable systems and provide technical direction with minimal oversight.
• Must be based in the USA.

Nice to have

• Experience with containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with GitLab pipelines and modern CI/CD practices.
