What you will do
- Lead systems analysis, architectural design, and technology selection for core platform components and scalable data services.
- Develop and implement backend microservices and APIs using Python, Elixir, or Golang.
- Establish and guide the team in AI-native engineering practices to improve reliability and development efficiency.
- Design and maintain PostgreSQL database schemas, optimizing for query performance and scalability.
- Lead peer code reviews and mentor engineers to maintain high code quality and maintainability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in distributed event-driven systems using modern observability tools.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Expertise in Python; experience with Elixir or Golang is a strong plus.
- Strong proficiency in relational databases, specifically PostgreSQL.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS) and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Proven ability to architect scalable systems and provide technical direction with minimal oversight.
- Must be based in the USA.
Nice to have
- Experience with containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with GitLab pipelines and modern CI/CD practices.
