TL;DR

Director of Government Affairs (Fintech): Leading federal advocacy and policy engagement to shape the regulatory environment for digital identity and fraud prevention with an accent on financial services and banking policy. Focus on building relationships with Congress and federal regulators, translating policy dynamics into business strategy, and advancing secure digital identity infrastructure.

Location: Must be based in the Washington, D.C. metro area or be willing to relocate

Salary: $200,000 – $240,000 + Equity & Bonus

hirify.global is building the identity trust infrastructure for the digital economy to verify identities in real time and stop fraud.

What you will do

  • Lead hirify.global’s federal advocacy strategy to expand the adoption of identity verification technologies and fraud prevention solutions.
  • Shape the policy environment to support secure digital identity and trusted digital interactions across regulated platforms.
  • Advise executive leadership by translating federal policy developments and regulatory actions into clear business risks and opportunities.
  • Drive engagement with Congress, the Executive Branch, and key regulatory agencies to advance company objectives.
  • Manage relationships with external lobbying firms, policy consultants, and industry associations.
  • Partner with Legal, Product, and Compliance teams to ensure government affairs support product strategy and market expansion.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in government affairs, financial services policy, or fintech regulation.
  • Proven mix of public sector (e.g., Capitol Hill or federal agency) and private sector experience.
  • Deep familiarity with banking policy, fintech innovation, or payments systems.
  • Strong ability to build trusted relationships with policymakers and industry stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Public Policy, Law, or Business.
  • Must be based in the Washington, D.C. metro area or be willing to relocate.

Nice to have

  • Experience with AML/KYC frameworks and digital identity policy.
  • Expertise at the intersection of technology policy and financial regulation.
  • Interest in AI governance and data-driven fraud prevention.
