TL;DR

QA Automation Engineer: Building and maintaining automated test frameworks and regression test suites for web and mobile applications with an accent on test coverage, CI/CD integration, and performance optimization. Focus on designing automated functional, API, and load tests, troubleshooting failures, and collaborating with developers for early defect detection.

Location: Fully onsite position based at the office in Lisbon, Portugal. Open to support with relocation efforts.

Salary: €47K – €59K

What you will do

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for web and mobile applications.
  • Create and execute automated regression, functional, performance, and API tests.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure testability of features and early defect detection.
  • Analyze test results, troubleshoot failures, and report issues.
  • Enhance test coverage by identifying critical scenarios and edge cases.

Requirements

  • Around 3+ years of experience in test automation development.
  • Proficiency in test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Appium, Playwright).
  • Strong experience in programming languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
  • Hands-on experience with API testing (Postman, REST Assured, or similar).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
  • Experience with version control systems (Git) and test management tools (TestRail, Zephyr).
  • Strong understanding of software testing principles, SDLC, and agile methodologies.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of performance and load testing tools (JMeter, Gatling).
  • Experience testing mobile applications (iOS & Android).
