QA Engineer – Automation

Location: 100% remote within the United States

Salary: $115,000–$130,000 annually

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks for enterprise web applications, REST APIs, and distributed systems.
• Expand automated test coverage and integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines.
• Apply risk-based, exploratory, and continuous testing strategies in Agile environments.
• Partner with development teams to improve software quality and accelerate reliable delivery.
• Debug complex issues and perform data validation using SQL.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of QA automation experience; the posting lists 6+ years of overall experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Strong hands-on experience with Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright, plus REST API automation.
• Understanding of testing methodologies, software development lifecycle, Agile/Scrum, and CI/CD integration.
• Solid SQL, debugging, problem-solving, analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
• U.S. work authorization is required; eligible applicants include U.S. citizens, Green Card holders, EAD holders, and H-1B transfer candidates. New H-1B sponsorship is unavailable.

Nice to have

• Performance testing with JMeter, Gatling, or k6.
• Docker and Kubernetes for containerized test environments.
• Cloud-based testing with BrowserStack or Sauce Labs.
• Behavior-driven development with Cucumber or SpecFlow.
• Security testing fundamentals, including OWASP and basic penetration testing.
