Software Engineer II with Accounting Experience (LATAM)

Location: Remote in Latin America

Salary: $2,800–$6,000 gross USD per month

What you will do

• Design, develop, install, and maintain software solutions for financial processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Develop new backend features and document software functionality.
• Use accounting expertise to identify gaps and improve automation and reconciliation workflows.
• Evaluate and deploy software tools, processes, and engineering metrics.
• Provide software systems support and consulting while ensuring compliance with project plans and industry standards.

Requirements

• Prior experience as an accountant or financial analyst.
• Strong understanding of reconciliation, financial reporting, and compliance.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Golang, Python, or Java.
• Experience with backend API development and relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with software engineering tools, development methodologies, release processes, and automated testing.
• Required experience with Claude or equivalent large language model tools, plus a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

Nice to have

• Experience with React or React Native.
• Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Grafana, Loki, Prometheus, Elasticsearch, or GitLab CI/CD.
