What you will do

• Perform detailed design of 12kV to 345kV substations, including physical layouts, one-line diagrams, and wiring schematics.
• Produce detailed engineering design packages adhering to hirify.global Ohio and industry standards such as IEEE and NERC.
• Prepare procurement specifications for materials and services and evaluate vendor proposals.
• Provide engineering support to field crews during construction and maintenance activities.
• Assist in the planning, design, and construction management of substation projects.
• Maintain and optimize internal design standards and engineering databases.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
• Must be based in or able to work fully on-site at the Dayton Service Building in Ohio.

Nice to have

• Experience with Bentley MicroStation or similar CAD software.
• Passing grade on the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam.
• Familiarity with electrical substation equipment including transformers, circuit breakers, and relays.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Access).
