Salary: $144,000 – $162,000

What you will do

• Own end-to-end relationships with outside counsel and legal service providers, including RFP and performance tracking.
• Develop and maintain billing guidelines, terms of engagement, and secondment agreements.
• Partner with Finance to manage legal spend accruals, forecasting, and cost benchmarking.
• Develop playbooks, tools, and processes to automate and scale legal vendor management.
• Manage the end-to-end onboarding and off-boarding process for legal service providers.
• Enforce cost control strategies, including rate negotiations and alternative fee arrangements.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in legal operations or legal vendor management, specifically within a technology company.
• Hands-on experience with e-billing and matter management platforms.
• Proven track record in law firm relationship management and rate negotiations.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and data visualization.
• Strong analytical, financial, and contract negotiation skills.
• Must be based in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Nice to have

• Experience with Brightflag, LawVu, or similar e-billing platforms.
• Familiarity with hirify.global or the gaming and online communication industry.
• Experience working with law firms providing legal services outside of the U.S.
• Experience implementing AI or automation solutions in legal operations workflows.
