What you will do

  • Own and execute the Internal Capital Adequacy and Risk Assessment (ICARA) process end-to-end, including risk assessments and wind-down analysis.
  • Design and run stress testing programmes to challenge capital positions under various macroeconomic and market scenarios.
  • Develop and maintain capital models covering Pillar 1 requirements, Pillar 2 add-ons, and operational risk quantification.
  • Prepare high-quality regulatory submissions for the FCA and act as the subject matter expert during examinations.
  • Partner with Finance on capital planning, forecasting, and ongoing monitoring to integrate risk and finance perspectives.
  • Produce regular capital adequacy MI for the Risk Committee and the Board.

Requirements

  • Significant experience in prudential risk or capital management within financial services in a second-line or regulatory capacity.
  • Deep, hands-on knowledge of MIFIDPRU and the ICARA process.
  • Proven track record of developing capital models and quantitative risk methodologies.
  • Experience engaging directly with the FCA or PRA on prudential matters.
  • Strong quantitative skills for building and stress-testing models and interpreting complex outputs.
  • Professional qualification such as CFA, FRM, or ACA is advantageous.
