TL;DR
Tradeshow and Events Associate (Fintech): Strategic planning, management, and execution of hosted events, conferences, and industry trade shows with an accent on building thought leadership, brand awareness, and revenue opportunities. Focus on delivering engaging customer experiences, negotiating vendor contracts, and collaborating cross-departmentally to drive lead generation and project success.
Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid). Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. No visa sponsorship.
Salary: $52,000–$66,000 (most U.S. locations); $66,000–$80,000 (NYC, Seattle, SF Bay Area). Non-exempt hourly position. Geographic location-based.

What you will do
- Manage Q2-hosted events, conferences, and industry trade shows end-to-end.
- Deliver engaging customer experiences and foster connections to drive revenue.
- Coordinate day-to-day administration, speakers, venues, vendors, and cross-departmental teams.
- Develop project plans, track progress, and communicate updates to stakeholders.
- Negotiate vendor contracts and support lead generation objectives.
- Serve as core planning member for annual client conference (20% travel required).
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and ideally 1 year in corporate/association event management and trade shows.
- Strong project management, budget management, and stakeholder communication skills.
- Strategic thinking, creative problem-solving, and ability to manage multiple time-sensitive projects independently.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint); Cvent, SFDC, Marketo, Wrike preferred.
- Fluent written and oral English communication.
- Ability to travel (~20%) and meet physical demands (standing, lifting up to 25 lbs at events).
