TL;DR

Product Modelling Engineer (Semiconductors): Develop and test new MOSFET SPICE and HDL models to predict performance of next-generation technologies with an accent on innovative modelling methodologies for research technologies. Focus on simulating electrical behaviour under various scenarios, improving models, and supporting customer design-in.

Location: Manchester

Salary: £42000-£46000 (DOE)

What you will do

  • Support development of next-generation MOSFET platforms.
  • Generate and test new MOSFET SPICE and HDL models.
  • Improve modelling methodologies, especially for research technologies.
  • Provide design-in assistance to customers using models.

Requirements

  • BSc/MSc/MEng/PhD in electronics or semiconductor physics.
  • Prior experience in a similar or relevant field.

Nice to have

  • Circuit simulation and SPICE modelling experience.
  • Knowledge of power semiconductor principles.
  • Strong maths skills for new modelling methods.
  • Experience with TCAD, ICCAP, LTSPICE, Cadence, Statistica, or Virtual Prototyping.
  • Python or scripting capabilities.
  • Knowledge of power electronics <1kV (e.g., motor control, DC-DC converters with MOSFET/IGBT/SiC/GaN).
