Senior Site Accountant

TL;DR

Senior Site Accountant: Supporting monthly close process, account reconciliations, cash forecasting, and complex general ledger activities with an accent on financial accuracy and compliance with US GAAP. Location: Onsite at Jacksonville, Florida facility; up to 10% travel required; not open to applicants who reside in or plan to work from California.

What you will do

• Prepare and review complex journal entries for monthly, quarterly, and annual closes with proper documentation.
• Assist with cash forecasting, monitor daily balances, and identify funding needs.
• Perform monthly bank and intercompany reconciliations, resolving all items.
• Manage fixed assets including depreciation, additions, disposals, and reconciliations.
• Record operating and finance leases per ASC 842, including amortization and liability entries.
• Establish controls for system integrity and assist with audit requests.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3+ years progressive accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing or site-based environment.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and core accounting principles.
• Experience with financial reporting, cost accounting, variance analysis, and KPI tracking.
• Excellent communication skills to translate financial data for non-finance stakeholders.
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence site leadership.

Nice to have

• Accounting experience in manufacturing.
• CPA certification.
