What you will do

• Own and manage key aspects of the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
• Leverage AI and automation to improve month-end close efficiency, targeting a sustainable 5-day close through automated accruals, flux analysis, and reconciliations
• Drive continuous improvement in accounting processes, supporting SOX compliance and cross-functional finance initiatives
• Support annual financial audits with strong documentation and timely responses
• Measure and report efficiency gains from AI-enabled workflows, tracking hours saved in key tasks

Requirements

• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally mixing public accounting and high-growth tech company roles
• Experience managing month-end close and financial reporting, with exposure to audits, internal controls, and cross-functional collaboration
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, financial reporting, journal entries, reconciliations, and flux analysis
• Background in process automation, systems implementations, or AI/data tools for accounting workflows
• Experience with external audits and internal controls, including SOX readiness and documentation
• Ability to lead team members and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
