Accounting Manager (AI Infrastructure): Leading accounting, controls, and reporting for capital asset and lease portfolios in a high-growth AI cloud environment with an accent on ASC 842 compliance and fixed asset lifecycles. Focus on managing $1.5B+ in GPU infrastructure, overseeing Construction in Progress (CIP), and optimizing ERP workflows.
Location: Hybrid: Must be based in San Francisco or San Jose, CA (presence required 4 days per week)
Salary: $165,000 – $248,000

What you will do
- Manage accounting and reporting for $1.5B+ in GPU infrastructure, racks, and cabling.
- Oversee $200M+ in Construction in Progress (CIP) related to data center buildouts.
- Ensure ASC 842 compliance for $500M+ in Right-of-Use (ROU) assets across 15+ locations.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, procurement, and legal teams to ensure accurate asset tracking.
- Drive automation and integration between NetSuite ERP and asset tracking tools.
- Prepare financial statement disclosures and support internal and external audit processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 7+ years of accounting experience with significant exposure to fixed assets and leases.
- Strong expertise in U.S. GAAP and ASC 842 lease accounting.
- Experience managing Construction in Progress (CIP) and capital project accounting.
- Proficiency with ERP systems and fixed asset management modules.
- Must be based in or be able to work from San Francisco and San Jose offices 4 days per week.
Nice to have
- CPA certification with public accounting experience.
- Background in data center, cloud infrastructure, telecom, or capital-intensive industries.
- Experience accounting for technology hardware such as GPUs or servers.
- Interest in implementing AI tools within accounting processes.
