What you will do

• Lead client workshops to define requirements for power, gas, oil, and renewables trading.
• Partner with C-level stakeholders to create actionable solution roadmaps and compelling business cases.
• Design end-to-end architectures for Front, Middle, and Back Office trading workflows.
• Lead agile delivery of multi-workstream programs involving trading systems, data platforms, and analytics.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams of data engineers, software developers, and quantitative analysts.
• Ensure regulatory compliance (EMIR, MiFID II, REMIT) is integrated into delivery practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in energy or commodity trading (power, gas, oil, and/or renewable energy).
• Hands-on experience with ETRM platforms (e.g., Endur, Allegro, Brady, Eka).
• 5+ years in management consulting, preferably with Big 4 or tier-1 strategy firms.
• Proven track record of managing C-level and senior executive relationships.
• Experience leading large-scale agile transformations for programs with value >£5M.
• Deep understanding of market, credit, operational, and regulatory risks.

Nice to have

• Background in quantitative analysis or derivatives pricing.
• Previous experience at energy trading companies, utilities, or investment banks.
• Knowledge of emerging technologies in trading, such as AI/ML and cloud platforms.
