What you will do

  • Lead the design, analysis, and validation of new low voltage power distribution products and related components.
  • Manage and mentor group engineers and designers, providing career guidance and tracking project timelines.
  • Oversee New Process Implementation (NPI) projects to ensure compliance with customer specifications and quality benchmarks.
  • Conduct peer reviews and provide technical feedback to improve design quality and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams to optimize designs for manufacturability and cost.
  • Act as the primary technical point of contact for the operations team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (MSME preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in R&D or product development within the power distribution industry.
  • Proven track record of leading engineering projects and developing new technologies.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
  • Experience in sheet metal design, including cost optimization and manufacturability.
  • Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.

Nice to have

  • Experience with CFD (Computer Fluid Dynamics) or Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
  • Knowledge of IEEE/ANSI C37.20.2, C37.04, C37.06, C37.09 and NFPA70E design guidelines.
  • Experience in design-to-order or custom engineering environments.
