What you will do
- Execute New Product Introduction engineering for assigned projects.
- Write engineering specifications, develop concept drawings with stakeholders.
- Coordinate with NRTLs for product evaluation and certification.
- Create detailed design drawings, 3D models, and bills of material for prototypes.
- Develop and document test plans for temperature rise, dielectric, short-circuit, and other tests; support testing at labs with up to 20% travel.
- Characterize performance through testing and simulation; work with manufacturing on DFM; conduct failure analyses.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years experience designing low/medium voltage power distribution equipment.
- BSME or equivalent experience.
- Experience with NRTL (UL, CSA) evaluation, testing, and certification.
- Knowledge of standards like UL 891, 1558, 508A; IEEE C37.20.
- SolidWorks experience for 3D models highly preferred.
