What you will do

• Lead design, analysis, and validation of low voltage power distribution products like metal clad/enclosed switchgear.
• Manage and mentor engineers/designers, track timelines, ensure quality, and provide feedback.
• Collaborate with Engineering Manager to address project/personnel issues and drive on-time performance.
• Conduct peer reviews, foster innovation, and train team on SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and design standards.
• Facilitate communication between design, manufacturing, and operations across sites for optimized processes.
• Ensure NPI projects meet specifications, standards, manufacturability, and track metrics like TTM and errors.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering (MSME preferred); 10+ years in R&D/product development in power distribution.
• Experience leading projects, developing technologies, and medium voltage systems (electrical/thermal/mechanical).
• Leadership/mentoring experience in design-to-order/custom environments.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks/AutoCAD; sheet metal design; knowledge of IEEE/ANSI/CSA/EEMAC/NFPA standards desirable.
• Strong analytical/problem-solving skills, attention to detail, communication, and multitasking in fast-paced settings.
