Salary: $165,000 – $190,000

What you will do

• Supervise and mentor the Applications Engineering team, managing performance reviews and goal setting.
• Provide high-quality technical consulting to the sales department to ensure product solutions meet client needs.
• Oversee pre-order engineering activities, including preliminary drawings, communication diagrams, and BOMs.
• Review and approve complex customer specifications for technical alignment and compliance with NEC, UL, and IEEE standards.
• Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering leadership to integrate field insights into new product development.
• Define and track team KPIs to improve cycle time, quality, and internal customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in power distribution or switchgear applications, with 2-3 years in technical leadership.
• Strong technical knowledge of three-phase electric power systems and communications (Ethernet, Modbus, IEC 61850).
• Hands-on experience with AutoCAD and switchgear design.
• Working knowledge of NEC and key UL/IEEE standards (UL 891, 1558, 508A; IEEE C37.x).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for translating technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
