What you will do

• Interpret codes and standards like NEC, UL, CSA, ANSI/IEEE C37.20 and translate into actionable guidance for engineering teams.
• Lead as technical resource for R&D, Product Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing on compliance and design decisions.
• Interface with UL and NRTLs on certification approaches, testing, evaluations, and maintaining product listings.
• Collaborate on new designs, changes, and substitutions to align with standards and support supply continuity.
• Assess code changes, provide recommendations, training, and materials to stakeholders.
• Develop training materials on codes and standards for internal and external teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.
• 3–5 years in regulatory compliance or product certification in electrical manufacturing.
• Direct experience with UL/NRTLs on certifications.
• Strong understanding of standards like UL 1558, UL 891, UL 1008, UL 67, IEEE C37.20.
• Hands-on experience with product testing and certification processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel); strong communication and organizational skills.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting engineering/R&D on standards-driven designs.
• Experience with UL/CSA Field Inspections or Evaluations.
• Experience with UL STP’s.
