What you will do

• Diagnose mechanical and assembly issues, performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
• Develop 3D models and 2D fabrication and coordination drawings.
• Maintain and update mechanical design standards, material specifications, SOPs, and work instructions.
• Collaborate with production, quality, manufacturing, and electrical engineering teams to resolve issues.
• Act as a technical resource for field issues, disruptions, and quality concerns.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to mitigate risks and resolve systemic issues.

Requirements

• Education: BSME or equivalent required.
• Experience: 0–3 years in mechanical design, MOL, or DTO engineering.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of mechanical systems, tolerances, fasteners, alignment, and structural components.
• Working knowledge of UL, CSA, and NEMA standards (specifically UL 891 / UL 1558).

Nice to have

• FEA exposure or experience.
• Experience with medium-voltage switchgear or power industry equipment.
• EIT certification or progression toward PE licensure.
• Familiarity with CI, Lean, or Six Sigma methodologies.
