Salary: $105,000 – $125,000

What you will do

• Assemble and integrate prototype turbomachinery hardware including compressors, turbines, and rotors.
• Develop precise assembly instructions, alignment procedures, and torque specifications.
• Support rotor stacking, bearing installation, and balancing operations.
• Document assembly activities, as-built observations, and lessons learned.
• Help develop and maintain build tools, fixtures, and work-holding solutions.
• Collaborate with design and test engineers to prepare hardware for validation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• Strong interest in hands-on mechanical assembly and rotating machinery.
• Basic understanding of GD&T, fits, torque, and alignment principles.
• Comfort reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and CAD models.
• Must be willing to work extended hours and occasional weekends
• Must work 100% onsite in El Segundo, CA
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship

Nice to have

• Prior hands-on experience from internships, co-ops, or design competitions like Formula SAE.
• Familiarity with rotor balancing or bearing handling.
• Interest in power generation or high-speed rotating systems.
