Salary: $165,000–$190,000

What you will do

• Directly supervise, mentor, and manage the success of the Applications Engineering team through goal setting and coaching.
• Provide high-quality internal consulting to the sales department to ensure product solutions meet client technical and commercial needs.
• Oversee pre-order engineering activities, including preliminary drawings, communication diagrams, and BOMs.
• Review and approve complex customer plans and specifications for technical alignment and code compliance.
• Partner with Product Management to translate field insights into product enhancements and new development.
• Define and improve team KPIs such as cycle time, quality, and internal customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE).
• 7+ years of experience in applications, design, or field engineering focused on power distribution/switchgear.
• 2–3 years of experience in technical leadership or people management.
• Strong technical knowledge of three-phase electric power systems and proficiency with AutoCAD.
• Working knowledge of NEC and key UL/IEEE standards (UL 891, 1558, 508A; IEEE C37.x).
