Salary: $165K–$190K

What you will do

• Supervise, mentor, and develop the Applications Engineering team through goal setting, coaching, performance reviews, and team-building.
• Provide timely technical consulting to sales, engineering, production, and field service on product capabilities beyond published literature.
• Oversee pre-order engineering activities including drawings, diagrams, sequences, and BOMs for quality and on-time delivery.
• Establish best practices for collaboration across Applications, Design, Mechanical Engineering, Production, and Sales.
• Review customer plans and specs for technical alignment, code compliance, and fit to hirify.global products.
• Partner with Product Management on field insights for enhancements and deliver technical training to stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s in electrical engineering (BSEE) or related; advanced degree/MBA a plus
• 7+ years in applications/design/field engineering on power distribution/switchgear; 2–3 years technical leadership/people management
• Strong knowledge of three-phase power systems, distribution, control, protection, rotating machines, Ethernet/Modbus/IEC 61850.
• Hands-on switchgear design and AutoCAD experience.
• Working knowledge of NEC, UL 891/1558/508A, IEEE C37.x standards.
• Proven team leadership, process improvement, communication for technical/non-technical audiences.
