TL;DR
Engineering Manager (Kotlin/Python/Java): Lead the Consumer Core full-stack team delivering architectural foundations, security patterns, and scalable features for KMP front-end and Python/Java back-end with an accent on reliability, performance, and operational excellence. Focus on defining domain boundaries, championing system quality, overseeing AI adoption, and collaborating with cross-functional partners on strategy.
Location: Hybrid in Austin, Chicago, DC, or NYC offices; in-office attendance required on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday
Salary: $185K – $225K + equity + benefits

What you will do
- Create a safe, collaborative team environment and motivate engineers to do their best work.

- Raise the bar on quality, performance, execution speed, and engineering standards.
- Grow talent by coaching engineers and helping them develop long-term skills.
- Set clarity, empower autonomy, and maintain team domain boundaries in authentication, events, user research, mobile tooling, security, and FinOps.
- Champion reliability, scalability, security, and performance; act as point of contact for Product, Design, Security, and Data Science.
Requirements
- 3+ years of engineering management experience, ideally in mobile or distributed API domains
- Experience scaling teams, elevating systems, and solving ambiguity.
- Familiarity with mobile/API infrastructure (AWS preferred), analytical/SDLC tools (Mixpanel, Runway).
- Hands-on knowledge of mobile/API best practices: serverless, event-driven, REST, microservices, MVI, Clean architecture.
- Interest in integrating generative AI into workflows for better delivery and productivity.
