Base Salary Range $180,000 - $200,000 USD

What you will do

• Serve as technical lead for AI application development, setting standards for code quality, architecture, and delivery.
• Design and implement core AI components, services, LLM-enabled workflows, RAG, summarization, classification, and automation.
• Build shared libraries, ensure production readiness with observability, performance tuning, and safeguards like fallback behaviors and content filtering.
• Partner with product builders and engineering teams to integrate AI into main platforms and workflows.
• Identify foundational investments, evaluate build vs. buy, and stay current with AI practices for innovative capabilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• 10+ years of professional software engineering with principal-level scope and technical leadership.
• Strong experience building and operating production distributed systems and backend services.
• Hands-on delivery of AI/ML-powered features including LLMs, evaluation, monitoring, RAG, embeddings, and search relevance.
• Strong system design skills for APIs, data flows, integrations, performance, and reliability.
• Experience with observability, operational excellence, logging, metrics, tracing, alerting, and incident response.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to product, design, and executive stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience in a healthcare SaaS environment.
• Familiarity with multi-tenant architectures and enterprise access control.
• Experience building internal platforms and tooling to improve developer experience.
