TL;DR

Senior Director, New Product Development (AI) (AI/LegalTech): Turning high-potential AI concepts into production-ready digital products for legal professionals with an accent on generative AI, LLM orchestration, and rapid prototyping. Focus on building MVPs using low-code/no-code environments, ensuring legal accuracy, and implementing RAG systems.

Location: Must be based in the United States

Salary: $190,000–$215,000 base

What you will do

  • Lead the end-to-end design and delivery of AI-native products, from MVPs to scalable solutions.
  • Establish and operationalize a "Rapid MVP Lab" to accelerate experimentation and deployment of AI ideas.
  • Translate innovation concepts into production-ready applications aligned with user needs and strategy.
  • Define architectural direction for AI systems and optimize API usage and cost efficiency.
  • Partner with product and technical teams to evaluate model selection (OpenAI, Gemini, etc.) and shape roadmaps.
  • Ensure all products meet strict standards for legal accuracy, data governance, and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of digital product leadership experience with a recent focus on generative AI.
  • Deep expertise in prompt engineering, RAG systems, API orchestration, and model integration.
  • Proven experience building products using low-code/no-code platforms and AI-assisted tools.
  • Must be based in the United States.
  • Strong understanding of data privacy, intellectual property, and AI compliance.
  • Experience in legal tech or edtech is strongly preferred.
