TL;DR

Sales Trainer, Sales Enablement and Effectiveness (Biotech/Genomics): Design, develop, and deliver training programs to drive sales effectiveness across divisions with an accent on consultative selling, CRM and analytics tools, and territory execution. Focus on creating scalable enablement content, providing field coaching, and evaluating performance to optimize sales strategies and customer engagement.

Location: Fully remote (up to 20% travel for meetings, training, and field coaching)

Salary: $160,000 - $170,000 USD

What you will do

  • Design and deliver high-impact training on consultative selling, objection handling, value-based messaging, and competitive positioning for new hires and ongoing development
  • Train on Salesforce and Tableau best practices for territory planning, pipeline management, and data-driven decisions in partnership with Sales Operations
  • Support territory execution via training on pre-call planning, account strategy, routing, and business reviews
  • Conduct field rides, virtual ride-alongs, and live/virtual workshops using adult learning principles
  • Develop scalable content including playbooks, job aids, LMS courses, and objection handling tools
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to align training with business needs and evaluate effectiveness through assessments and feedback

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, healthcare, education, or related field
  • 3–5 years in sales training or enablement in biotech, pharma, or diagnostics
  • Expertise in sales methodologies like consultative, value-based, or account-based selling
  • Experience with genetics and rare diseases
  • Deep knowledge of Salesforce and Tableau
  • Strong facilitation, communication, and instructional design skills; comfort with virtual/in-person training
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% for events and field visits

Nice to have

  • Previous field sales experience in genetic testing, pediatrics, prenatal, or rare disease
  • Familiarity with LMS platforms like Seismic
  • Training certifications (ATD, CPTD, Kirkpatrick) or instructional design experience
