What you will do

  • Execute physical design implementation of custom IP and SoC designs from RTL to GDS.
  • Conduct synthesis, place and route, clock tree synthesis, floor planning, and static timing analysis.
  • Perform verification and signoff processes including formal equivalence, reliability, and layout verification.
  • Optimize designs to achieve specific power, frequency, and area targets.
  • Develop and automate physical design methodologies and workflows using scripting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex design challenges and improve product architectures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience (with Bachelor's), 8+ years (Master's), or 6+ years (PhD) in physical design implementation.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard EDA tools for synthesis, place and route, and timing analysis.
  • Expertise in Python, Perl, and TCL for design flow automation.
  • Solid understanding of RTL-to-GDS methodologies and workflows.
  • Knowledge of power integrity, clock distribution, reliability verification, and DFT techniques.

Nice to have

  • Experience with low-power design techniques, including UPF implementation and verification.
  • Familiarity with system and processor architectures, including ARM designs.
  • Exposure to formal verification and hardware validation techniques.
