TL;DR

Performance & Simulation Engineer (Drills): Drive machine-level performance through advanced simulation, analysis, and data-driven decision making for Surface Rock Drills with an accent on machine systems, performance tradeoffs, and validation strategies. Focus on developing analytical tools, diagnosing complex issues, and influencing design decisions for current and next-generation products.

Location: Denison, TX (onsite five days a week). Domestic relocation assistance available. Sponsorship not available. Occasional travel (10%).

What you will do

• Partner with customers, product leadership, and cross-functional teams to scope and deliver performance-focused projects.
• Produce high-quality simulation and analysis to drive product and process decisions.
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing, supply chain, and test teams for robust product delivery.
• Develop, validate, and maintain base machine analytical tools.
• Identify and close performance and validation gaps with customer impact analysis.
• Improve analytical methods, tools, and technologies continuously.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science.
• Technical leadership in machine-level performance using simulation and analytical methods.
• Analytical thinking to diagnose complex issues and apply data analytics.
• Accuracy in developing and validating analytical tools.
• Process management for NPI and product performance.
• Effective communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with hirify.global machine systems analysis and simulation.
• Knowledge of Surface Rock Drill applications and machine performance drivers (engine, hydraulics, compressed air, cooling).
• Proficiency with Dynasty, DATK, D2D, Excel, Cool-1, Simulink, Tableau, Power BI, EDS, HVC, VisView.
• Experience with control systems and engineering data systems.
• Strong interpersonal skills, leadership, and project management.
