Simulator Technician

TL;DR

Simulator Technician: Perform mechanical, electrical, and electro-mechanical assembly operations on simulators and subassemblies with an accent on non-routine production, fabrication, and integration. Focus on determining assembly methods from sketches and diagrams, system modifications, and field installations including overseas travel.

Location: Arlington, TX (onsite, only U.S. citizens eligible due to U.S. Government contract requirements, DoD Secret clearance required or ability to obtain, up to 75-80% travel including overseas, passport required)

What you will do

• Perform variety of non-routine assembly operations on electronic, mechanical, and cable assemblies using hand/power tools, jigs, and saws.
• Determine methods and sequences for assembly/integration from engineering sketches, diagrams, schematics, and drawings.
• Fabricate, assemble, modify, rework subassemblies and integrate system hardware.
• Participate in device teardown, removal, and site installations, requiring travel to CONUS/OCONUS sites for up to 6-8 weeks.
• Close manufacturing orders, generate nonconforming material reports, and assist with engineering change requests.
• Work in team environment under general-close supervision, including possible shift work and overtime.

Requirements

• High school diploma minimum + 3-5 years experience with electrical/mechanical assemblies or equivalent.
• Knowledgeable in working from engineering sketches/diagrams, schematics, and drawings.
• Experience with common hand/power tools, jigs, and saws.
• Teamwork attitude; ability to stand, stoop, bend, lift 40-50 lbs, climb ladders.
• Current DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain; U.S. citizen only.
• Passport required for overseas travel.
