Simulator Technician

TL;DR

Simulator Technician: Perform mechanical, electrical, and electro-mechanical assembly operations on simulators and subassemblies with an accent on non-routine production, fabrication, and system integration. Focus on determining assembly methods from sketches and schematics, rework, modifications, and field installations requiring extensive travel.

Location: Arlington, TX (onsite), US citizens only due to government contract, up to 75-80% travel including overseas (passport required), possible shift work and overtime.

What you will do

• Assemble electronic, mechanical, and cable/wiring harness subassemblies using hand/power tools, jigs, and saws.
• Fabricate, modify, rework, and integrate system hardware from engineering sketches, schematics, and drawings.
• Participate in device teardowns, removals, and field installations at customer sites, including overseas travel up to 6-8 weeks.
• Close manufacturing orders, generate nonconforming material reports, and assist with engineering change requests.
• Work in team environment under general supervision, with overtime and shift work as needed.

Requirements

• US citizen eligible for DoD Secret clearance (or ability to obtain).
• High school diploma + 3-5 years in electrical/mechanical assemblies.
• Experience with engineering sketches/diagrams, schematics, drawings, hand/power tools, jigs, saws.
• Ability to stand, stoop, bend, lift 40-50 lbs, climb ladders; work overtime/shifts.
• Passport (desired at start, required for travel).
• Teamwork attitude; Microsoft Word/Excel proficiency.
