Test Technician

TL;DR

Test Technician (Electronics): Test support for SerDes Test Stations including setup, breakdown, device testing assistance, and data collection with Excel/Python with an accent on lab maintenance, inventory management, and electronics troubleshooting. Location: Cary, US (onsite, night shift 4-5pm to 12-1am)

What you will do

• Provide test support for SerDes Test Stations: setup/breakdown with PCBs, connectors, cables; replace test boards.
• Assist engineers with device testing and data collection/reporting using Excel, PowerPoint, basic Python.
• Manage inventory of parts, devices, cables, PCBs; handle shipping and receiving.
• Maintain lab: monitor power, air compressors, tidiness.

Requirements

• Associates in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Strong electronics/circuit theory; read schematics; troubleshoot test setups.
• Familiarity with test equipment: multimeters, VNAs, oscilloscopes; ESD safety knowledge.
• Good organizational skills, lab maintenance aptitude; effective communication.

Nice to have

• Soldering skills.
