Simulator Technician

TL;DR

Simulator Technician: Perform mechanical, electrical, and electro-mechanical assembly operations on simulators and subassemblies with an accent on fabrication, integration, modification, and rework. Focus on determining assembly methods from engineering sketches, schematics, and drawings, using hand/power tools, and supporting field installations including overseas travel.

Location: Arlington, TX (onsite). Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible. Travel likely up to 75-80% including CONUS/OCONUS sites (passport required).

What you will do

• Perform non-routine production assembly on electronic, mechanical, and electro-mechanical subassemblies including cable harnesses.
• Fabricate, assemble, modify, and rework subassemblies and integrate system hardware.
• Work from engineering sketches, diagrams, schematics, and drawings to determine assembly methods and sequences.
• Use common hand/power tools, jigs, and saws.
• Participate in device teardown, removal, and field installations at customer sites, including overseas travel up to 6-8 weeks.
• Close manufacturing orders, generate nonconforming material reports, and assist with engineering change requests.

Requirements

• U.S. citizen with ability to obtain DoD Secret security clearance.
• High school diploma + 3-5 years experience with electrical/mechanical assemblies or equivalent.
• Knowledge of engineering sketches, schematics, drawings; experience with hand/power tools, jigs, saws.
• Ability to stand, stoop, bend for long periods and lift 40-50 lbs; climb ladders.
• Passport (current desired).
• Teamwork attitude; Microsoft Office proficiency.
