TL;DR

Commercial Counsel (Blockchain): Create, review, negotiate, and manage data services and SaaS commercial agreements for private and public sector customers globally with an accent on data privacy, security, and compliance issues. Location: Remote - USA (New York); ineligible for visa sponsorship

Salary: $175K – $210K • Offers Equity • Offers Bonus

What you will do

  • Create, review, negotiate, and manage data services and SaaS commercial agreements for global private and public sector customers
  • Collaborate with go-to-market, operations, marketing, infosec, engineering, and product teams on transactional goals
  • Address data privacy (GDPR, CCPA) and security issues in complex commercial transactions
  • Prioritize client satisfaction while developing scalable processes and understanding company risk appetite
  • Build expertise in sales processes, contracting models, products, and become a trusted partner to sales leadership
  • Provide commercial guidance to support company objectives beyond legal matters

Requirements

  • Remote - USA only; ineligible for visa sponsorship
  • Juris Doctorate with solid in-house or top-tier law firm experience in technology industry; public sector/financial institutions preferred
  • Experience supporting global B2B sales teams at rapid-growth tech companies
  • Strong understanding of GDPR, CCPA in transactions, reviewing DPAs, and handling compliance/security issues
  • Excellent critical-thinking, judgment, and ability to manage shifting priorities in fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to support global sales teams outside local business hours occasionally

Nice to have

  • Government contracting experience (direct or reseller)
  • Familiarity with cryptocurrency and blockchain industry
