Salary: $185,000 - $245,000 USD

What you will do

• Serve as strategic legal partner to leadership on commercial, regulatory, and operational matters
• Draft, review, negotiate, and interpret commercial agreements including SaaS, fintech, partnerships, and data licensing
• Support strategic initiatives like partnerships, corporate development, and product launches
• Work with regulatory counsel on compliance and evolving frameworks
• Provide guidance on transactions, regulatory matters, product development, privacy, employment, and governance
• Maintain contract templates, policies, workflows; handle board/investor governance; manage small legal team

Requirements

• J.D. from accredited law school and active U.S. state bar membership in good standing
• New York or California Bar membership
• 5–8 years legal experience (law firm + in-house)
• Strong experience drafting/negotiating complex commercial agreements
• Broad legal knowledge for regulated industries, fintech, payments, SaaS, or tech
• Ability to spot issues and provide practical risk-based solutions
