What you will do

  • Supervise and mentor counselors, providing feedback, documentation, and hands-on training through observation.
  • Conduct one-on-one and group therapy sessions and facilitate weekly supervision meetings.
  • Develop and revise comprehensive patient treatment plans while maintaining detailed clinical records.
  • Ensure strict compliance with federal, state, and local regulations as well as accrediting agency requirements.
  • Coordinate patient care with community providers and manage crisis interventions.
  • Lead treatment team meetings and provide in-service training on current addiction treatment trends.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Human services or a related field.
  • Active LICSW, LPC, LGSW, or LGPC license.
  • Must be based in or able to work on-site in Washington, DC.
  • Knowledge of human behavior and rehabilitation specifically for drug-dependent populations.
  • Strong interpersonal communication and decision-making skills in high-stress situations.
