TL;DR

Manager, Mid-Market Industries Sales (AI): Build and lead a verticalized sales organization targeting mid-market companies (500–2,500 employees) across Financial Services, Insurance, Healthcare, and Life Sciences with an accent on strategy, execution, and rapid scaling. Focus on developing repeatable GTM motions, pipeline ownership, forecasting, and cross-functional partnerships to drive AI adoption in regulated industries.

Location: San Francisco, CA or New York City, NY (hybrid policy: at least 25% time in office)

Salary: $360,000 - $550,000 USD (OTE)

What you will do

  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for mid-market verticals including segmentation, account tiering, and value propositions tailored to buyer personas.
  • Build and lead a multi-layered sales team, recruiting domain experts and creating career paths for retention in high-growth settings.
  • Establish scalable processes, playbooks, and operations to grow from early traction to significant revenue.
  • Own pipeline development, forecasting, quota attainment, and deal management for predictable revenue.
  • Partner with Product and Research to shape mid-market features, integrations, and industry-specific capabilities based on customer feedback.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally on demand generation, enablement, and vertical expansion into new industries.

Requirements

  • 10+ years enterprise/mid-market sales experience, 5+ years in sales leadership managing first-line managers and managers of managers
  • Proven track record scaling verticalized sales teams for mid-market (500–2,500 employees) at high-growth tech companies
  • Domain expertise in at least one core vertical (Financial Services, Insurance, Life Sciences, Healthcare)
  • Experience building repeatable sales processes, playbooks, and enablement in ambiguous, fast-changing environments
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; field relevant to role
  • Location: Must work hybrid from San Francisco or New York offices (25%+ in office)
