What you will do
- Manage multiple software engineering teams delivering tools, services, and foundational capabilities for Product Engineering.
- Set the strategic and technical vision for Core Apps Enablement across iOS, Android, Web, BFF services, and platform engineering.
- Define and execute roadmaps for reusable platform capabilities, developer tooling, and enabling services.
- Improve reliability, scalability, operational support, developer productivity, and delivery predictability using data and KPIs.
- Partner with product, engineering, platform, IT Operations, external development partners, and regulatory bodies on delivery and release processes.
- Build leadership capacity through hiring, performance management, mentorship, and ownership of tooling, infrastructure, and vendor expenditure.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in software roles and 5+ years managing software engineering teams, including experience managing managers.
- Strong experience with iOS, Android, Web, mobile application platforms, and backend-for-frontend architectures.
- Experience building developer tools, strategic capabilities, or enablement services that improve engineering productivity.
- Experience designing and delivering highly available, fault-tolerant, resilient consumer-facing applications, transactional platforms, distributed backend systems, and APIs.
- Experience with software delivery best practices, agile methodologies, production support, on-call operations, and continuous improvements in stability, availability, performance, and delivery speed.
- Experience coordinating delivery with nearshore, offshore, or third-party development teams.
