Salary: $130,000-$185,000 (U.S. base salary range)

What you will do

• Lead mechanical design of new hirify.global bands and accessories from concept through production, owning form, fit, and function.
• Drive product architecture decisions with Industrial Design, Electrical Engineering, Product Management, and Operations.
• Create and manage CAD models, assemblies, and 2D documentation for design reviews and manufacturing.
• Spearhead second sourcing, dual tooling, and supplier engagements for supply chain resilience.
• Define validation test plans, perform root-cause analysis, and implement design improvements.
• Mentor junior engineers and establish mechanical design best practices.

Requirements

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related; 6+ years experience owning products through full cycles.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD (SolidWorks, Creo), tolerance stack-ups, and drawing standards.
• Experience with plastics, silicones, textiles, elastomers, metals, overmolding, and integrating soft goods with electronics.
• Success managing global suppliers and manufacturers.
• Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and provide technical leadership.
• Up to 20% travel to manufacturers and suppliers.

Nice to have

• M.S. in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience with wearables, sports/fitness accessories, or human factors engineering.
• Familiarity with FEA tools, rapid prototyping, and environmental testing.
• Offshore manufacturing experience.
