TL;DR

HR Business Partner (Legal Tech): Partnering with Canadian management to support workforce optimization and drive global people strategies with an accent on talent management, employee relations, and organizational design. Focus on leading change initiatives, resolving complex employee issues, and embedding high-performance culture aligned with business objectives.

Location: Hybrid in Toronto, Canada. Based in Toronto, supporting Canadian workforce.

Salary: up to $125K (CAD), dependent on skills assessment.

What you will do

  • Provide HR advice and guidance to stakeholders, building relationships with regional and global leaders.
  • Initiate and deliver HR projects and strategies, staying updated on Canadian legislative changes.
  • Resolve complex employee relations issues, balancing employee well-being and business needs.
  • Collaborate with global HR on people solutions, optimizing strategies and processes.
  • Lead local wellbeing, engagement, and organizational design initiatives.
  • Develop and implement people strategies for a high-performance culture.

Requirements

  • 5–7 years progressive HR experience in business partner, advisor, or generalist role.
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian employment laws, HR policies, and compliance.
  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related; CHRP, CHRL, or CHRE preferred.
  • Experience in employee relations, conflict resolution, performance management, and organizational development.
  • Effective communication, collaboration, and influencing skills with senior leadership.
  • Experience in rapid change environments.

  • CHRP, CHRL, or CHRE designation.
