TL;DR

Manager, Product Management (B2B): Leading product and category teams to deliver solutions for professional customers in the home improvement sector with an accent on strategic planning and product lifecycle management. Location: Hybrid schedule based out of Deerfield, IL

Salary: $105,000 - $150,000 USD

What you will do

  • Guide product teams to achieve P&L objectives and develop 3-year product roadmaps aligned with B2B strategy.
  • Mentor team members to support their professional growth and skill development.
  • Define value propositions, pricing approaches, and margin expectations tailored to B2B channel dynamics.
  • Collaborate with Global Product Development, Sales, and Supply Chain for successful product launches.
  • Analyze market insights and field feedback to identify unmet needs of distributors, contractors, and builders.
  • Manage the full product lifecycle from concept through launch using stage-gate or similar processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of product management experience in construction, home improvement, or durable goods.
  • Experience with wholesale and big-box retail distribution channels.
  • Proven track record of managing new product development via stage-gate processes.
  • Ability to translate technical product concepts into clear customer value.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 15%.

Nice to have

  • MBA or advanced degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting and developing team members.
